#MAKEITHAPPEN · Varsity Blackhawk Wrestlers finish in second place at Adams Central

The Varsity Blackhawk wrestlers finished in second place at Adams Central on Saturday, January 18th. The individual tournament was switched to a super duals format due to a few teams not being able to make the trip.
The Blackhawks opened the day with a 51-30 victory over Parkway of Ohio.

The second round brought the sixth place IHSCWA 1A finishers, Adams Central. The Blackhawks dispatched the Jets, 48-31.

In the third round the Blackhawks handled Southern Wells 48-30.
The fourth round turned out to be the championship dual, pitting 3-0 3A Homestead against our Blackhawks. The Blackhawks battled hard in a dual that came down to the final match, losing 39-40.
The Blackhawks received a bye in the fifth round and finished their day with a sixth round dual victory over Southwood, 66-18. The sixth round victory led to Cowan finishing in second place with a record of 4-1 on the day.
Tom Stevens, Garrett Smith and Keagan Keesling were undefeated on the day.
