Cowan Jr./Sr. High School

The Cowan junior varsity and varsity volleyball teams traveled to Winchester Monday evening to play their first match of the season. The junior varsity volleyball team lost in 3 sets (18-25, 25-22, 12-15). Eowyn Glaze led the defense with 6 digs and 2 aces. Brylynn Coon led the offense with 4 kills, and Anna DuBois, Corah Wright, & Lily Burton added 3 aces each. The varsity team lost their match in 3 sets (25-11, 25-8, 25-14). The Blackhawks were led defensively by Savannah Hall with 7 digs followed by Lily Nettrouer with 3 digs. Delaney Brinson added 3 aces and 2 digs. The Blackhawks will travel to Tri Thursday even to play the Titans. The junior varsity match will begin at 6pm.
