Cowan Jr./Sr. High School

The varsity cross country teams opened their season with strong efforts at the Ethan Cheeseman Invitational hosted by Union High School. The runners took advantage of perfect weather conditions to turn in some great season-opening times! The girls raced first and Cowan earned third place as a team. Freshman Abby Campbell earned a medal with an outstanding effort in her first varsity race! She placed fourth as an individual to lead the team. Junior Candice Matson and sophomore Addison Clark placed 9th and 10th. Senior Kylee Bergstrom and freshman Aubrey Davis completed the scoring places. The boys team also ran their way to third place in the team standings. Junior Isaac Campbell raced hard and placed first with a new PR! Fellow junior Aidan Glenn also ran really well and earned the fourth place spot individually. Juniors Rudy Glaze and Barron Smith came in as Cowan's third and fourth runners. Freshman Tyler Garza completed the scoring places for the team. The team will be racing again this Saturday morning at Monroe Central.
