The varsity volleyball battled hard on Friday evening but fell short to the Broncos in 4 sets (25-19, 17-25, 16-25, 20-25). Allie Trimble, led the Blackhawks offensively with 8 kills and 2 blocks, followed by Keira Drew with 5 kills. Savannah Hall led the defense with 17 digs, followed by Delaney Brinson with 9 digs and Taylor Young with 7 digs. The Blackhawks had an impressive serving match with 17 aces led by Keira Drew who contributed 5 of those aces. The junior varsity team lost to the Broncos in 2 sets (19-25, 20-25). Eowyn Glaze had a great defensive match for the Blackhawks. The Blackhawks will be back in action next week vs. Lapel and Muncie Burris. Both matches will be at Cowan and will begin at 6pm.
