Cowan Jr./Sr. High School

The cross country teams traveled to Hagerstown to run on the Tigers' extremely hilly course on September 4. The hills provided an opportunity for Cowan's runners to challenge themselves, which is something that the team members want to do this season as they strive to change themselves for the better. The efforts of the team were just enough to finish in front of Union County in the team standings, but well behind Hagerstown. Junior Isaac Campbell was again the team's top finisher, earning third place individually. Junior Rudy Glaze was next man in, earning an individual ribbon for 15th place. Fellow junior Barron Smith was two spots behind Glaze, and sophomore Chase Matson was two spots behind Smith. Junior Aidan Glenn and freshmen Andrew Gaskill and Tyler Garza round out the top 7. The team's next meet is at home next Tuesday, September 10. This is the Delaware County Meet and the team's only home meet of the season. Please support the team if you can!
