Cowan Jr./Sr. High School

The cross country team got up early Saturday morning to compete in the Wildcat Classic hosted by Indiana Wesleyan University. The team members ran tough and gained some valuable experience for the rest of the season. Cowan's top two runners came home with individual medals. Junior Isaac Campbell placed 13th in 17:48 and fellow Junior Aidan Glenn finished 25th in 18:23. Cowan's 3rd, 4th, and 5th runners all set PR's to help the team finish in 12th of 21 teams. Junior Rudy Glaze finished under 20 minutes for the first time with a 19:53, Junior Barron Smith lowered his best time to 20:37, and freshman Andrew Gaskill clocked in at 22:08. The team is scheduled to compete on Tuesday in the New Castle Invitational at Memorial Park in New Castle.
