Playing its first road game of the season, Cowan lost at Alexandria, ranked No. 11 in Class 2A, 60-10, on Friday night. Savannah Hall and Kylee Bergstrom led the team with five rebounds apiece, and Alyssa Stevens had four steals. Junior forward Delanee Gillespie and senior guard Elizabeth Sizemore both hit 3-point shots. The Blackhawks return to action Monday at Blackford. The junior varsity will play two quarters beginning at 6 p.m., with the varsity game to follow.
