Blackhawks start strong, fall at Randolph Southern

Cowan trailed just 13-11 at Randolph Southern after the first quarter but couldn't sustain its momentum and lost 61-28 Tuesday night on the road. Madison Norris led the Blackhawks with nine points, including 3-of-4 shooting from the free throw line. Elizabeth Sizemore added seven points, including a pair of 3-pointers, and four steals. Savannah Hall had team highs of seven rebounds and three assists. The Cowan junior varsity lost 37-25 to the Rebels despite five points apiece from Savannah Bowling, Lexi Gluff and Abby Campbell. Gluff grabbed 11 rebounds, and Skylar Arison had five steals to lead the Blackhawks. Cowan will be back in action at 6 p.m. Thursday with home games against Eastern Hancock.
