Eastern Hancock's defensive pressure was too much for Cowan in a 64-12 loss at home Thursday. Lily Nettrouer led the Blackhawks in steals (2) and scored a basket. Elizabeth Sizemore had a team-high six points, including a 3-point field goal and a traditional three-point play. The junior varsity lost to the Royals 42-2. Savannah Bowling scored Cowan's basket and grabbed 10 rebounds. The Blackhawks return to action Monday at home against Elwood. The junior varsity game starts at 6 p.m. with the varsity game to follow.
