Cowan turned in a strong first quarter against Wapahani on Thursday night at home, but the visiting Raiders, 11-1 on the season, overwhelmed the Blackhawks thereafter. In the 60-20 loss, Elizabeth Sizemore swished a pair of three-pointers and finished with a team-high eight points. Alyssa Stevens, Kylee Bergstrom and Madison Norris had two assists apiece for Cowan, which returns to action Friday night at Tri for a 6 p.m. start in a girls-boys varsity doubleheader. In the JV game Thursday, Savannah Bowling drilled a three-pointer and had seven blocked shots in Cowan's 50-8 loss. Abby Campbell led the Blackhawks with nine rebounds.
