The Cowan Blackhawks wrestling team finished 5th as a team in Saturday’s IHSAA Wrestling Sectional #16 at Delta. Freshman, Ashton Goney, won the 138 lb weight class, and Junior, Jackson Bradley, remained undefeated at 24-0 to win the 157 lb weight class. Sophomore, Jacob Unger was runner-up at 144. Kyler Coffey finished 3rd at 132 as did Noah Modglin at 167. Xander Sparks respectively placed 5th as CJ Bynum (150) and Xavier Ostman finished 6th. Goney, Bradley, Unger, Coffey, and Modglin will move on the Jay County Regional on Saturday, February 8, 2025.
