The Blackhawks fell short in their home opener Monday evening vs. Winchester in 3 sets (9-25, 9-25, 20-25). Senior Keira Drew led the Blackhawks with 9 digs and 2 kills. Senior Mylie Willams added 6 digs, 1 ace, and 1 kill. Sophomore Corah Wright had 7 digs and 1 ace, and Freshman Demi Abbott tallied 8 assists, 2 kills, 4 digs, and 1 ace. The Blackhawks will play at home on Thursday vs. Tri High. The junior varsity team lost to Winchester in 2 sets (11-25, 13-25). Sophomore Ayden Morgan led the defense with 7 digs, and Sophomore Lily Burton led the offense with 4 kills. The Blackhawks will play at home on Thursday evening vs. Tri High. This will be a varsity only match and it will begin at 6:30 pm.
