The varsity volleyball team defeated Wes-Del Wednesday evening in 4 sets (21-25, 25-12, 25-17, 25-21). The Blackhawks were led by Savannah Hall with 9 kills, 13 digs, and 6 blocks. Gabby Webb added 7 kills and 3 digs and Calynn Jett added 6 kills and 3 digs. Ayden Morgan had 6 aces and 7 digs, Eowyn Glaze added 7 digs, and Demi Abbott finished the match with 23 assists, 3 kills, 2 blocks, 3 aces, and 8 digs. The junior varsity lost to the Warriors in 3 sets (28-26, 22-25, 11-15). Ayden Morgan led the defense with 27 digs and Sydney Quinn played a nice defensive match contributing 13 digs and also had 3 service aces. Karleigh Wheadon had 4 aces, 7 digs, and 3 kills, and Lily Burton added 7 kills and 5 digs for the Blackhawks. The Blackhawks next match will be at Randolph Southern Tuesday, September 16th. The junior varsity match will begin at 6pm.
