Boys Varsity Cross Country · Blackhawks Take 4th Place at New Castle Invitational

The boys varsity cross country team finished fourth out of seven schools at the New Castle Invitational which was held in Memorial Park on September 15.

Cowan’s top 4 runners took on the challenging course and managed to finish within 12 seconds of each other. Junior Nate Kirby led the way with sophomore Logan Walker right behind. Senior Logan Byrd, and junior Perrin Belcher finished finished within a tenth of a second of each other. Senior Colin Ashby continued his strong rookie season and came in as Cowan’s fifth man.

The Blackhawk runners thank all of the fans who supported them at the meet. The team is scheduled to race Saturday morning in the Yorktown Invitational without spectators.
