The Blackhawks opened up their 2021 track season at Elwood on April 7. The team competed well in their first meet since 2019.
Kyle Pike won the 100m dash and the high jump.
Alex Smith won the 110 m hurdles and placed 3rd in the 300 hurdles.
The 4 x 100 team of Kyle Pike, Curtis Hansard, Cam Miller, and Alex Smith won.
Perrin Belcher placed 4th in the 1600 m with one shoe, and 3rd in the 3200 m with both shoes.
Nate Kirby was 2nd in 800 m run.
Cam Miller was 3rd in the 400 m dash.
Brandt Thornburg took 3rd in the discus.
Logan Walker 3rd in high jump.
Ryan Low 3rd in 200m.
Savin Barela 4th in 800 m.
Cheston Gingerich 4th in long jump.
Cam Miller, Nate Kirby, Kyle Pike, and Logan Walker took 2nd in the 4 x 400.
The team is scheduled to compete again Saturday morning at Wapahani.
