The Blackhawks’ fourth-quarter comeback fell just short in a 21-17 loss to Wes-Del on Wednesday in the semifinals of the Delaware County Tournament.
Cowan trailed 19-13 entering the fourth quarter and cut the lead to two points before the Warriors iced the game with two free throws in the final seconds.
Bryleigh Hiatt led the Blackhawks with six points. Kylee Bergstrom scored four, Elizabeth Sizemore three and Kaylee Belcher and Regan Gill two each. Hiatt led with four rebounds, while Lily Nettrouer and Belcher had three steals apiece.
